Acquisition brings National Exposure

Paying people is making money for Adelaide-based payroll company Empower International.

A $5 million revenue increase through the acquisistion of the Masterpay payroll bureau service from Computer Sciences Corp Australia, has effectively doubled its size and given it a national presence.

Empower's Brian Towler said the acquisition complemented existing
services.

"It provides a solid base for our future business direction, which will concentrate on the delivery of online HR and payroll services," he said. "Its ahead of budget in terms of sales and expenses have been below budget so it has been a good acquisition for us."
